Today, modern organizations are investing in capability academies, places to go to learn, share, and build expertise together. Unlike the physical corporate universities of old, the new academies build strategic, contextualized skill-sets, the source of an organization’s competitive advantage and the solution to broad problems like “integrated customer service,” “digital transformation,” “sustainability mindset” and “global enterprise sales performance.” Moreover, they crystallize corporate memory and institutional wisdom so that it can be transferred continually to new cohorts. As the culmination of many trends, Capability Academies are the next step in the learning evolution.
Watch this on-demand LX Signature Series webinar featuring Industry Analyst and Thought Leader Josh Bersin and Director of Research Nehal Nangia, both of the Josh Bersin Company, and we’ll address questions such as:
- How do you evolve your corporate university into a set of corporate academies?
- How do you (as L&D) negotiate complex relationships with the business unit(s) you serve and the measures of success that govern those relationships?
- When it comes to content, how do you combine off-the-shelf, user-generated and expert-generated content?
- What do you make of existing learning trends like self-directed content and learning-in-the-flow of work, given your ultimate goals?
This session draws upon proprietary research of dozens of capability academies to show you how to navigate across a constellation of providers to create powerful learning that aligns a workforce and solves major organizational challenges.
