Greg and his team have designed, built, and launched 500+ training programs reaching over 1.5 million learners. Greg serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership High School and advises startups, software vendors, and investors entering the education space. Previously, he was a Fellow with NewSchools Venture Fund, a PM at Coursera, and a consultant at McKinsey. Greg holds a MA-Ed and MBA from Stanford, and a BA from Harvard.

Sara Ley, Digital Learning and Technology Leader, GE
Sara is responsible for leading curriculum for BrilliantYOU. Sara joined GE in 2007 supporting the GE Aviation business, and has since had a variety of roles in learning and technology across GE. Sara is the Leader for Jacksonville Women’s Network Hub and an active volunteer for the United Way of Northeast Florida. Sara earned an MS and BS from Florida State University and currently lives in Jacksonville with her two children, Gavin and Theodore.
GE is renowned for its leadership institute, Crotonville, which develops the company’s top leaders, and has earned GE the #1 world rank on Aon Hewitt Top Companies for Leaders. However, only 15% of GE employees attend a Crotonville classroom experience each year.
To reach the rest its 350,000+ employees, GE has launched a series of new online learning initiatives, with thousands of learners taking part each week. In this session, we’ll share details about GE’s BrilliantYOU, a new internal marketplace for learning resources.
We’ll also discuss how GE pushes the envelope of what is taught online by using the NovoEd platform to train employees in high-stakes skills such as leadership, presence, creativity, and innovation.
